For more than 20 years, Pennsylvania’s Office of International Businesses Development (OIBD, of PA’s Department of Community & Economic Development) has been bringing authorized trade representatives from around the world on a two-week tour across the state, giving businesses the chance to meet with trade representatives to discuss international business strategies and sales opportunities in their respective markets.
After a two-year disruption, the event is back and in-person. This year’s Bringing the World to PA (BTW2PA) starts Monday the 12th in Philadelphia and ends Friday the 23rd in Lackawanna, with various stops throughout the state including Allegheny, Erie, Lehigh, and others. The full schedule can be found here.
Trade events like BTW2PA are important; small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) are significant contributors to any economy, and accessing new markets is a good way to keep them strong. (You can read more about this on our blog.)
Pennsylvania’s DCED will be providing updates and information on their website and their Twitter feed; you can also follow us on Twitter and LinkedIn for more event news.
We’re looking forward to seeing you next week!
