Now that the holidays are over, everyone is getting serious about planning for 2019.
The retail sector has seen some interesting – and uplifting – sights in its crystal ball. According to Fast Company, shopping in 2019 will include:
- a rebirth (of sorts) for brick-and-mortar stores,
- a make-over for the aforementioned stores, with features that include a smaller footprint and in-store technology that stores payment methods and allows for in-store online shopping,
- an emphasis on sustainability, and
- the demise of ‘Instagrammable’ stores.
Other retail prognostications have included an increasing emphasis on a personalized shopping experience, greater use of technology, and an ever-increasing turn toward health and wellness products.
We here at Grow Trade aren’t ready to make predictions of our own – but we’re definitely going to be watching the ones listed above.
