The countdown to this year’s Wisconsin Trade Venture to Canada is on!
From April 8 to 12, select Wisconsin businesses will visit Toronto and Winnipeg to learn more about the Canadian market and meet one-on-one with prospective partners that have been carefully selected for these companies based on their business needs and objectives.
These types of programs are very important; small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) are significant contributors to any economy, and accessing new markets is a good way to keep them strong. We’re particularly lucky here in North America – the Canada-United States-Mexico Agreement (CUSMA, or USMCA as it’s known in the U.S.) and its predecessor NAFTA were designed to help businesses by ensuring that goods and services could cross our borders with few impediments.
This year’s Wisconsin participants are listed below. Contact us if you would like a meeting with representatives of these companies.
Fork Farms – Fork Farms’ Flex Farm is “the most efficient, scalable, and transformative indoor, vertical hydroponic technology on the planet.” Each Flex Farm unit contains everything plants need and can grow more than 394 pounds of produce each year – making them great tools for science education and food sustainability. Fork Farms representatives would like to connect with Canadian K-12 education markets and STEM product distributors, and possibly commercial growers and/or hunger relief organizations.
Old Fashioned Cheese – Old Fashioned Cheese is a family-owned and operated company crafting delicious and nutritious natural cheese snacks and spreads. Company representatives would like to connect with cheese producers, processors, and distributors who are cheese quota holders (TRQs).
Rebel Green – Rebel Green makes highly effective natural cleansers with a chic, edgy, and rebellious flair that defines all their products. Company representatives would like to connect with Canadian brokers and distributors, and some retailers in Canada.
Scrusher (Chaseburger Manufacturing) – Chaseburger Manufacturing has been making its shoe and boot brush since 1986, and their products are on half of the golf courses in the U.S. and Europe. Scrusher representatives would like to connect with distributors in Canada’s industrial and safety supply markets, as well as retailers in the home, farm/ranch, hardware, and contractor supply markets.
Slot Check – Slot Check’s app offers insights for the gaming industry, including real-time slot performance, graphics, trends, and other data of interest to those in the gaming industry. Company representatives would like to meet casino managers, tourism boards, and provincial gaming authorities in Canada.
