Your trade event schedule for May 2023.

May is turning into another busy month in the Canadian trade event schedule.

As we tell our clients, trade shows (and similar events) are a great way to make connections in – and learn more about – a new market. Listed here are events happening across Canada, in sectors including manufacturing, health, technology, and many others. Click the links posted for event and registration details.

DEX Expo – The travelling Design Engineering Expo (DEX) showcases “the latest products and services to Design Engineering magazine’s audience of mechanical engineers, machine builders and product design professionals.” Expo takes place May 2 in Winnipeg, MB.

Partners in Prevention – “Workplace Safety & Prevention Services (WSPS) hosts a number of events and conferences that raise awareness and provide both educational and networking opportunities.” Next month’s event takes place May 9 in Sault Ste. Marie, ON, and check their website for future events.

SIAL Canada – “Inspiring the food industry is our promise to enable companies in the sector to better understand the market and global food trends in order to develop and maintain their competitiveness.” Runs May 9 through 11 in Toronto, ON.

Canadian Environmental Conference & Trade Show – “For over 30 years, CANECT courses have met the needs of Canada’s environmental managers and professionals. Attend CANECT to keep up-to-date with new environmental regulations and expand your awareness and best practices.” Event takes place May 9 to 11 in Vaughan, ON.

iTech Conference & Exhibition – “Canada’s leading IT conference & exhibition,” covering infrastructure, cloud, security, data centre virtualization, AI, machine learning, and more. There are three iTech events this month – May 9 (iTech West) in Mississauga, ON; May 23 in Ottawa, ON; and May 25 in Montreal, QC.

Graphics Canada – “Canada’s largest showcase for the graphic communications and printing industries” runs May 11 to 13 in Toronto, ON.

Franchise Expo – “See the most successful franchises + brand new opportunities from every industry.” Takes place May 12 and 13 in Montreal, QC.

Bakery Showcase – “Canada’s only business to business baking event.” Show runs May 14 to 15 in Vancouver, BC.

EV & Charging Expo – This event is “the major national trade show and conference for fleet operators, property developers, real estate owners, municipalities and policy makers to meet with the key players who will facilitate the transition to electric vehicles.” Takes place May 17 and 18 in Toronto, ON.

Halal Expo Canada – “North America’s only trade show dedicated to the Halal industry.” Takes place May 17 and 18 in Toronto, ON.

DigiMarCon Canada – “The premier digital marketing, media, and advertising conference & exhibition in Canada.” Takes place May 18 and 19 in Toronto, ON.

Quebec Furniture Manufacturers Association Congress – The AFMQ is “pleased to invite its members to the 2023 edition of its annual convention.” Runs May 24 to 26 in Quebec City, QC.

ExpoCam – “The meeting place for Canada’s trucking industry! New products, new ideas, new solutions. Trucks, equipment and technology.” Runs May 25 to 27 in Saint-Hyacinthe, QC.

Planted Expo – “Canada’s biggest, most juicy, most epic plant-based event! Over 200 vegan edible and lifestyle businesses in one place along with a stage packed with insightful, informative, and inspirational speakers from around the world.” Show runs May 27 and 28 in Vancouver, BC.

e-Health Conference – “e-Health Conference is where important digital health conversations happen.” Event runs May 28 to 30 in Toronto, ON.

Grow Up Conference & Expo – “Learn from the best in the cannabis industry. Hundreds of top speakers and keynotes together to bring you up-to-date on proven methods, innovations and technology.” Runs May 28 to 30 in Edmonton, AB.

Power of Water Canada 2023 – “This event has grown to be the largest annual gathering and reunion of the hydroelectric industry with more than 400 delegates and 60 exhibitors.” Runs May 29 to 31 in Niagara, ON

Land & Development Conference – “A deep dive into new legislations, escalating land costs, rising interest rates and its impact on the Canadian real estate industry.” Event is scheduled for May 30 in Toronto, ON.

RCC STORE 23 – “The RCC STORE Conference offers two days of learning and discussion about today’s most critical retail topics and newest success strategies.” Takes place May 30 and 31 in Toronto, ON.

Western Manufacturing Technology Show – “Western Canada’s national manufacturing marketplace. Immerse yourself in cutting-edge manufacturing technology and industry education!” Runs May 30 to June 1 in Edmonton, AB.

CX Strategies Summit – “The premier event series in Canada dedicated to CX strategies and technology.” Runs May 31 to June 1 in Toronto, ON.
