Vaccines are being rolled out, but pandemic mitigation still means limits on events and gathering sizes – which has prompted many event organizers to shift to virtual platforms. We’ve assembled a list of trade and consumer events scheduled for Q1 2021 that may be of interest to small businesses in various sectors.
Congress Connect – Landscape Ontario Congress has reimagined their annual trade show and turned it into a year-long marketplace and conference, allowing green professionals to meet in the virtual environment. Meetings run January 12 to 14.
Toronto International Virtual Boat Show – Recreational gear and activities have been big during the pandemic. The Toronto International Boat Show has pivoted to an online platform, allowing vendors and consumers to meet, chat, and check out this year’s equipment. Show runs January 18 to 24.
The Keys to a Blue Economy – Water Canada has scheduled a four-part online discussion series that will focus on impacts to Canada’s drinking water, wastewater, storm water, and resources. Sessions run January 20, February 17, March 17, and April 21.
HR Rebooted – The HRPA’s annual conference and trade show has gone virtual, and will bring together HR professionals to learn about trends, technologies, and best practices. Event runs January 26 to 29.
Ontario’s Mega RV Show – RVs were huge in 2020 – they embodied freedom and social distancing in one self-contained setting. Organizers have gone virtual for 2021, giving attendees to check out models and features from the comfort of their own homes. Runs February 5 to 7.
Recruit in Canada – This 27-year-old student recruitment fair has gone online for 2021. Two dates are planned – February 11 and May 20.
DEX & MRO Expo – The Design Engineering Expo and Machinery and Equipment MRO magazine have joined forces to bring this showcase online. A must-attend for mechanical engineers, machine builders, and product design professionals. Scheduled for February 18.
NEXT by CHFA – This one-day event will focus on innovation, trends, and foster contacts among professionals in the health food sector. Show is scheduled for February 19.
CSC Building Expo – CSC Toronto’s 43rd expo has moved to a virtual platform, allowing organization to engage the construction industry across the country. This one-day event runs February 24.
Restaurants Canada Show – This virtual conference and trade show will give attendees the chance to meet on a world-class virtual platform where they’ll learn, connect, and share solution-based content – a must for an industry that’s been hard hit by the pandemic. Show runs February 28 to March 3.
Canadian Golf Course Management Conference and Trade Show – This event features 20 hours of education, renowned speakers, awards presentations, and trade show time – all from the comfort from the attendee’s home office. Scheduled March 2 to 4.
DX3 2021 – Canada’s biggest retail, marketing and technology event has gone online for 2021. Topics include retail cannabis, social shopping, and brand preferences. Runs March 2 to 5.
PDAC 2021 – The Prospectors & Developers Association of Canada is moving its 2021 convention to the virtual world. Programming includes a look at capital markets, exploration, and sustainability, among others. Runs March 8 to 11.
Healthier by Nature – The CHFA’s consumer event will give attendees the chance to connect and engage with preferred brands in new ways. This event is scheduled for March 20; watch their website for details.
Americana – North America’s largest mutli-sector environmental event has gone virtual. The virtual exhibition hall will host nearly 150 exhibitors, showcasing innovation and new technologies. Runs March 22 and 23.
