Canada’s 3D visualization market.

The future looks good for 3D visualization in Canada.

The country’s 3D rendering market is expected to grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 19.4% between 2026 and 2033. Revenue is projected to reach USD $1.414 billion by 2033. (For comparison, revenue was USD $350 million in 2025.) Canada accounted for 7.2% of the global 3D rendering market last year and is the fastest-growing regional market in North America. While software was 2025’s largest revenue-generating component, services were the 3D rendering market’s most lucrative market segment.

Companies active in this industry include MAXON (est. 1985, headquartered in Germany), Lumion (est. 2016, headquartered in France), and Autodesk (headquartered in the US). Some local participants include Archbiztech and RealSpace (both of Vancouver, BC).

While 3D visualization has applications in numerous sectors (including culture, architecture, entertainment, and others), trends suggest that healthcare will be a major focus, driven by increased healthcare spending, accelerated adoption of telemedicine and remote collaboration tools, a growing demand for precision diagnostics, and an aging population that will have more healthcare requirements. Specific healthcare visualization opportunities are expected to lie in oncology imaging and treatment, cardiovascular disease management, surgical planning, neurological diagnostics and treatment, and orthopedic assessment and rehabilitation.
