1990 — The Great Lakes St. Lawrence Governors & Premiers (formerly the Council of Great Lakes Governors) opens the joint trade office model in Toronto – the first of its kind providing U.S. states from the Great Lakes region (the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the states of Wisconsin and Indiana) an export assistance footprint in the Canadian market.
2004 — Grow Trade Consulting Inc. begins operating as a privatized offshoot of the Council’s Canadian Trade Office and is the Council’s exclusive Canadian trade representative, providing export assistance to Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, and Indiana (trade & investment attraction).
2004-2006 — Provided market entry assistance to Export Ireland and Northern Ireland-based companies interested in both Canada and the United States.
2005 — Organized a Mexican mobile market opportunity session for the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade Canada.
2006 — Assisted the Trade Facilitation Office of Canada (TFO) by presenting best practices for market entry session in the grocery and furniture markets, as part of a ProExport Colombia trade, investment, and tourism event held in Toronto.
2007-2014 — Worked with the Virginia Economic Development Partnership, offering client assistance, trade mission organization, and event planning.
2012 — Selected to work with the Michigan Economic Development Corporation (for export development) and with North Carolina (for trade and investment).
2013 — Becomes a registered consultant for the Business Development Bank of Canada (BDC), offering North American market expertise to Canadian corporate clients.
2015 — Becomes a Registered Expert with the Swiss Business Hub (Switzerland Global Enterprise) in Montreal, helping Swiss companies find opportunities in Canada.
2017 — Begins working with the Ohio Development Services Agency (OSDA) for export development.
2018 — Is added to the Global Affairs Canada Provider List to assist Canadian companies seeking market strategies for entry into the U.S. market.
